I've got a few months to go at this so I want to come up with a quality response: For our annual Hen weekend (usually March/ April May time we have a new challenge "The Tragic T shirt Competition" i.e. on the Friday evening on arrival we all have to be wearing a t shirt from a club or society that we probably wouldn't otherwise wish to be associated with - e.g The Redditch & district Knitting Circle; The Swindon Trainspotters Social group etc I thought it might be a good laugh to take it a step further & become a paid up member of some saddo club - I might even go & attend a metting to learn how to crochet, or collect stamps or whatever. I need a club that is a) a bit nerdy b) resonably local c) Sells t shirts d) I can get a membership card from If it has its own website & chat board even better. Any suggestions? Trying to get some sneaky ideas whilst my sis is on holiday
You're right of course I need to get out there & meet people, ................wonder when there's a tea dance on in the village?
oh yes Now we're onto something.... I could have a weekend in Hunstanton, looking at other folks bikes and admiring myself in a blue leather padded suit. I could swap stories about CC engines and brake horse power ..... it's this or - do you know of any fishing clubs?!!
Humberside and District Catholic River-Wideners Club Sounds just what you want but not sure if they have a website
Sure am, Ma'am, ask Big Lil You could also try the Royal Society for Pushing Sailors into Shops Actually it's just me showing my age stems from Monty Python years ago. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/archive/index.php/t-178786-p-2.html Sad I know but better than working. If you hunt around on google there are some real river wideners clubs about
No idea about the t-shirts or membership cards But you could always join & suggest it to them whilst not mentioning your ulterior motives! http://uk.geocities.com/northwestdidj/
