Hi. I an wanting to loan a chainsaw for a day to clear a few small trees but it's just about impossible to hire one! Can anyone help please? TIA
HSS loan out chainsaws http://www.hss.com/g/3705/Chainsaw-15-2-Stroke.html?gclid=CK-hp-PXnMACFSrJtAodgmAADA Apparently it's 20% off if you reserve it on line. Store on Wakefield Road. Thing is, you can buy one for that price.
Just looking at the HSS site and the price is probably high, as it includes demonstration & safety gear.
A good sharp(new) hand saw will do the trick if the trees are only small. I have cut down trees around 10 feet tall with 1. You can saw all the branches off first in no time from a step ladder
£21.74 for an 'electric general purpose saw' at Mammoth Hire http://www.mammoth-hire.co.uk/product/hire-general-purpose-saw-350105/
Its cheaper to buy one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&...vptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_3nidktmqgq_b
Thanks all, but that gp saw they say is no good and you need a 'forestry commission licence' for a bloody chain saw so they tell me (HSS)!!!!
argos have them from £69 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Brows...ecommerce.search.util.SearchMetadata@43e643e6 and B&Q http://search.diy.com/search#w=chainsaw&asug= and HomeBase http://www.homebase.co.uk/SearchDis...searchSource=Q&pageView=&&searchTerm=chainsaw hope this helps
