Won't play any DVDs or anything now, whether they are real or fake.

It would be nice to curl up with a DVD but how can I get it to work? - it worked once.

    Hasn't worked for ages.

    Where do I begin looking?.

    I haven't a clue

    Please help anyone out there

    Is it a DVD recorder?

If so, I seem to recall there were loads of Philips ones made with dicky lasers which died after a very short time.
If it's just a player you're after, PM me.

    Tina,

Been there. Mine stopped working completely after 18 months. Even out of warranty Philips repaired it free of charge because its a known problem. 12 months later it happened again. I gave up and bought a new one. Major problem. If you want to get it working just call Philips Customer Service, they are well aware of the problem.

She's talking about a high tech DVD home recording system mate, not your old Bush grammaphone.

    Thanks Airtyke.

Nothing else has worked so will give that a try then.

It's the most useless thing we have ever bought, also it won't record 2 programmes in a row - that's when it's working!

Its not now of course, even the cheap £19 one we got from Asda works better.

Thanks for the advice and We'll check that out.

Mine is always having "wobblers" and I thought it was me getting old and not being able to set it up properly.

Cheers for the advice Andy, next time I'll call them up.
