the electrics in my house are totally knackerd, been told by a sparkie that the house could do with completly re-wiring and he has quoted me nearly two and half grand for the job doing.just wonderd if this price was fair, or on the high side,as when it comes to electrics, i aint got a scooby doo.

    many thanks in advance....

What type / size of house is it

    My mate says

    Basic rewire for : -

    terrace £1700
    3 Bed Semi £ 2000

but could be + £500 depending on specifics / company.

    Dont go with cheapest quote

Sparkies must be part P approved for insurance purposes.

    Hope this helps.

    thankyou fella

3 bed terrace. as well as the rewire needs a new fuse box as the one we have got is out of the ark plus new junction boxes.

Sounds reasonable then but get a couple more quotes at least.

cheaper ones will add on the "extras" as the job progresses.

Make sure your quote is clear on what is / is not included.
