    i am unable to view my cd drive any ideas?

    Could be a loose wire or contact preventing the pc from recognising it

    Is it still missing after a reeboot ???

    If so try checking the ribbon lead from the mother board and the mains lead, ensure they are both seated correctly then turn back on and reboot.
