a relation of mine has a laptop ,everytime they connect to the internet a window appears saying they have 60 odd trojan viruses and to download their programme to clear it, thing is if you click cancel it re-appears as the same window or as an ad for music/ dating webb sites but if you click ok to download internet explorer closes and requests you send error report ,avg, super anti spyware, spybot and c cleaner have all been run several times without success , can anyone suggest how to eliminate this problem ? thanks in advance.
Sounds like you have a 'Trojan Horse' Look through the installed programes and see if you can spot a stranger, careful you dont delete owt your not sure of. Alternatively try Firefox instead of Exporer.
