If you have kids, know someone with a disability, or just have a minute to spare. Hannah Cockroft MBE has just launched a campaign for the organisation I work for (Disability Sport Yorkshire). It's not just a fundraising campaign, (every little helps!) but also an awareness campaign to get more people to know about us, and what we do. All we want you to do is post a picture on Facebook/ Twitter of someone who has achieved ANYTHING in sport, no matter how big or small. We want to get the message over that anyone can achieve. Details below. Please use the hashtags. #mysportingchampion #anyonecanachieve @FDSOYorkshire Thanks in advance. Disability Sport Yorkshire @Federation of Disability Sports Organisations @FDSOYorkshire is asking you to nominate someone whose sporting achievements no matter how big or small, deserve recognition. Simply post a photo, say who you're nominating, #mysportingchampion #anyonecanachieve @FDSOYorkshire And tell the world what they have achieved. > We want to put the limelight on people's achievements, whether they're sporty or not; disabled or not disabled, young or old. Everyone deserves a pat on the back. So if you know someone who has won a medal at the School Sports Day, or maybe tried swimming for the first time without armbands, then this is your chance to celebrate their achievement. Player of the year? Scored a goal? Kept a clean sheet? Post a picture and celebrate it! This is a campaign to raise awareness of Disability Sport in Yorkshire, but also to reflect that everyone is capable of achieving something in sport. Help Disability Sport Yorkshire to keep people achieving, at whatever level.
