some very nice beaches in that area but not a great deal else. Going up the coast theres porthmadog which is a very nice little seaside town or phwelleli which if my memory serve me right is absolute grot. Going down the coast theres Harlech with its castle or a little further theres barmouth which is a nice holiday spot.
