My BT Broadband speed (according to I Player) is 0.87 whatever that implies. Thinking of changing to Virgin with speeds up to 5.0 Can anybody recommend Virgin and if I also changed the phone to them would I still have to pay BT for the line/equipment etc ????
I've had very few problems.
You don't have to pay BT anything if you switch your phone andit's a similar line rental with Virgin. I'd say yes, look for the best deal and get it.

ive just left virgin matey because it was crap and very very slow so i went to 02 now my internet is spot on

Got to be the best thread title ever. Bet a few willing volunteers were all ready then they opened the posting and found out it was about chuffin' broadband!
Nor me - just got free upgrade to 10 meg and they coming to change modem over for free so it can take it!
Just to give you an idea of prices I've got... 10mb wireless broadband Weekend landline All TV Channels (except Sports and Movies) with full on demand content V+ HD Extra box upstairs for £36.50 a month. Now that's probably because I've been with 'em a couple of years but I can't fault 'em. Wouldn't be able to get that anywhere else for anything near that price.
Understand what you mean, never thought of the title, bet your right about the number of people that opened up to proffer help with this 'Virgin'
When you mention Weekend Landline Is this full weeks cover with free weekend calls ?? My BT bill is between £40 and £50 a month.
Yeah, we use mobiles so no need for anytime calls with it. All calls made Mon-Fri are charged with Saturday & Sunday free.
