My green bin's knackered. The lid disappeared during the last collection and it's split down each side. I can collect a new one from Smithies Lane free of charge, but what do I do with the old one? Doesn't say owt on the council website.
tek the old one to smithies and swap it for the new one....I did it the other month. ridiculous that you have to fetch thi own but hey ho hth
I was told I wouldn't get a new one unless I took the old one back - but then I was the only one who seemed to be taking it back.
I had to take my old one back long with some ID to prove I was a council tax payer in Barnsley. They just swapped it. They'll deliver a new one but it'll cost you 15 quid. https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/services/bins-rubbish-and-recycling/new-bins-and-parts/
Yes it's ridiculous that the Council don't take on the cost of delivering your new, free bin. They should take the old one away for nowt too. And sweep your yard while they are there.
Surely yours should read. BFC headcoach should deliver em fer nowt . Fekin useless t*at fekin sack him
Take wheels off old one. Lid off new one. Findbsome steel pipe or similar to go through hinge. Add wheels off old one. Take up t top of a hill. Lay the bin down with yoir mates holding on. Get them to give you a push. Try not to **** yourself.
