Anyone know a website where I can get the teams for Barnsley games for any fixture? Soccerbase only lists the line-ups as far back as the 96-97 season.

    Thank you

I'm after our line-up in two particular games. Leeds v Barnsley 25/04/1990 and Middlesbrough v Barnsley 02/05/1990. The times of the goals and the substitutions would be useful too.

If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the books will have the times of the goals or substitutions, so you may have to check the next week's programmes for things like that, although even they may not give the times of the substitutions. I'm away at the moment, but if nobody else gives you the info I'll have a look on Thursday.

Unfortunately, the Middlesbrough game was the penultimate game of the season. The final game was away at Portsmouth, so there is no reference made to that game in any Barnsley programme. The home game following the Leeds match was WBA and that's the only programme I haven't got from the season.

Sorry misread your post, try statto instead then. Not sure if that lists line ups though.

I've got scrapbooks going back to the early 1960s so I might have the chronicle reports for those two games. HOWEVER, the books are not at my home at the moment - they are at another address in Harrogate and I won't be able to get at them until the weekend. One other problem is that I was away stationed in Germany at that time and I cannot remember how complete my collection is for that period.

I will look on Friday night/Saturday morning to see if I have the info you need

That would be great. I'm particularly interested in how far in to the Leeds game O'Connell and Archdeacon replaced Futcher and Smith and how long after that they both scored. In my head it all happened in about 5 minutes, but it must have been longer than that. Full line ups would be good too.

I was too busy avoiding coins and pies to remember!

But if I was guessing?!?!? Subs on the 65-70 mark and goals 10-15 mins later. Think I've got goals on DVD? I'll check.

    Still got it? ;-)

It was a scary place in the late 80's early 90's as a mid to late teen!
Ended up In court after that match. Witnessed a lad from Harley(didn't know him) get a kicking off coppers in between 2 cop horses by West Yorks finest. Ended up later in Leeds Court and remember Police Investigaters coming to interview me and mi young bro.

Taggarts war dance at the end of that game in front of the Leeds fans was brilliant. Would love to see footage of that!

V Leeds Utd (A) 25/4/90 : 2-1 (O'Connell, Archdeacon) Lineup: Baker, Fleming, Taggart, Tiler, Cross, Smith, Futcher (Archdeacon), Banks, Saville, Agnew, Lowndes

V Middlesbrough (A) 2/5/90 : 1-0 (M.Smith) Lineup: Baker, Fleming, Taggart, Tiler, Cross, Smith, Futcher, Banks, Saville, Agnew, McCord (Lowndes)

This is from Barnsley Football Club The Official History 1887-1998.

I'll have a search for goal times and substitution times.
