Bought a camera Battery off t'internet last week. Paid £4 for first class delivery (Recorded delivery via Royal Mail). Still hasn't arrived. The supplier has given me the tracking number, but that doesn't work unless the item has been delivered - i.e. it just proves that they have sent the item. Royal mail say it's 15 working days before the item is officially classed as "missing". Am i within my rights to ask the supplier to chase this/ send another item? (as the Recorded delivery is an agreement between them & the Royal mail)?(dunno)
Yep. It's the senders responsibility to claim. Recorded Delivery mail is sent the same way as normal mail, it's retrieved at the recipients sorting office, and then the postie will bring it round for you to sign for. Usually! Often recorded mail gets delivered without signature, just mixed up with normal mail. Waste of money.
i never done that in me life!...honest ff serious though, recorded n spesh's should be delivered or card slipped the next day if he posted it early enough, though i have seen at time missorts in our office for others, would say 3 days max n its lost or he aint really posted it yet, ta'z been known to be delivered to wrong house!
We were supposed to receive some Rail tickets for a journey from a station near Brize Norton RAF to Sheffield which we had be post on to a PO box in Ascension Islands. They were delivered to the wrong address. Thank God the reciever got them across to us ASAP. They got to Ascension with just a day to spare before the flight out.
