Help sought re: burning video files

    Hello

    I am looking to put a number of video files onto CD for use in a DVD player. I have Nero installed as my CD burner but when I click on 'VCD' it asks me to re-install Nero and I can't find the disks.

    Can anyone tell me how to put AVI files onto CD so that they can be played in a DVD player? I had previously assumed Nero could convert to VCD for me, do I need some software to convert to VCD first?

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
