got the Olympus Mui 410 for my birthday approximately 18 months ago.... but last month, the flash stopped working (cue all my indoor photos in Thailand being taken on a crappy disposable camera resulting in crappy pictures!)
I've just taken it to Jessops where I got it from, and they've quoted me £145!!! to repair it... seeing as I paid just over £200 for it, obviously it's not worth doing it through them.
I'm going to write to Olympus and complain, but in the meantime does anyone know of anyone local who can repair/replace the flash bulb? and preferably for a lot cheaper price!
any suggestions appreciated!

I somehow doubt it will be repairable by anyone other than such as Jessops (Who will probably send it back to the makers anyway) It will be a single unit which needs replacing I'd say. You may get some joy from Olympus even if they offer to fix it at a price it will be less than Jessops.
thanks Jax, that was the tack I was going to take... going to write direct to Olympus.
the guy in Jessops suggested I use the non-working flash to judge when there wasn't enough light to take the picture, or something equally as stupid...
