Help with Facebook......does anyone know.....

1. If I reject a friend request will that person know they have been rejected?</p>

2. How do I do a status message? I keep reading them from other people e.g. 'Tom is happy as he is on holiday' etc.....</p>

no, they just don't show up in their friends list

top right hand corner under ya name - there's a small box where ya can type stuff when ya on ya profile page

Have you added Adam Hinchcliff yet? He's quite a popular boy on there.

 

A colleague of mine has found an ‘appreciation society’ dedicated to him on facebook.
Obviously set up by some of our students. Some of the comments are rather offensive to say the least.
Is there any action you can take to:
1. block these
2. find them in the first place?

Don't know about blocking them, but searching for groups featuring the relevant name (ie that of your colleague) just by typing it into the site search facility should work.

I presume you can complain to the moderators of the site, if the contents offensive then i would have thought they would remove it immediately similarly to the guys who run this site.

I think some of these students don't think teachers/lecturers are real people - i know that there have been a lot of problems with offensive content about teachers on the friendsreunited site.
