I am trying to get in touch with the former player, Brett Mellor who played for you in the late 1970s, I am wondering if anyone knows what he's up to these days, his current location or whereabouts or is there anyone on here who knows him personally and could put me in touch with him?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another player I am trying to contact is Mick Butler, does anyone on here know how I can contact the former player? Is he still local?

Never heard of him(Brett Mellor). Also no Bfc player of that name listed in bfc official history book.

Never heard of Mellor. Are you confusing us with Burnley? It wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Nope he definitely signed for Barnsley after HTFC, he might not have played a game, but was definitely a Barnsley player.

Another player I'm trying to locate is Bob Parker, played between 1965 and 1969 and later become a coach for BFC.

Another player is called Paul Walker, he played 13 games for BFC between 1975 and 1976 and also played for Wolves and Peterborough. Does anyone have any information?

Brett Mellor was a centre half

We signed from Huddersfield on a free transfer in about 1980. He never appeared in our first team. Paul Walker, a left footed midfielder, was signed on a free transfer from Peterborough in 1975. He was voted into the PFA Fourth Division Team Of The Year for 1973/74 whilst at London Road. Mick Butler is one of my all time heroes for Barnsley (along with Pat Howard & Ronnie Glavin) and, as far as I'm concerned, was capable of walking on water!
Unfortunately, none of this helps the poster who started the thread for which I apologise.

I'd love to know the whereabouts of Mick Butler, he was always one of my favourite players when I was a wee nipper,

Rather odd that you don't say why you want to contact them ,so from your posts so far I deduce that your mum was a Barnsley fan
