Can anyone tell me how i can find out what my credit rating is? I keep getting rejected for credit cards, loans etc. even though i've never been in debt in my life, and was just wondering if i can find out why

    Go to:

    http://www.creditexpert.co.uk

There's a free 28 day trial where you can get a full credit history report from Experian, who are one of the main two companies that UK establishments use when assessing people for credit cards etc.

If you're young with no obvious bad credit history/CCJs etc then there's two or three possible common reasons why you can't get credit/keep getting turned down:

     - No credit history means that people are loathe to lend you money (lenders like it when you already have a history of being a "good payer")

     - Someone's nicked your identity and is having it away in your name (unlikely, but if they have the report will show it up and you'll be able to report it to the credit rating companies)

     - Old debt at the property you're living in/been living in which might mean you're being penalised for someone else's misdemeanours.

    Hope this helps.
