Just been viewing the BBC showing of it after Richard the second, brilliant, absolutely brilliant. The Henry version was shoved down my throat at school and now only wished I'd paid more attention. Shakespeare was clearly a man far ahead of his time, just think of him sitting at a table in candlelight writing with a quill and we think we have it hard. This man was a writer, and historian whose vocabulary was far ahead of most of us today and whose wit has never been matched. I'm just dumbfounded by his brilliance. Please BBC do more. Still got part ii to watch and Henry iv. Agincourt.
Read it (and part II) during my degree. I've not read as many of his plays as I'd like but he was well, well ahead of his time with some of them.
Loved to have met him in a different life, I don't see this genius nowadays. Gone....now we have crime fiction
