Yes its about Corned Beef, no not the Beef
the corned beef tins
let me take you back to1954
down the Suez canal to Ismalia
im getting near the end of my 5 years
i end up in the Cook house
cushy number, after,4 n half years of slog
oh no spud bashing,the egyptians did that
now the crned beef tins,now you have all seen and mabye opened
a tin of corned beef,you have to be care full getting it out of the tin
well we had great big tins of C/beef
we had a machine that cut the edges easy,
oh Yeah!.you think so eh??
its Monday in the cook house one of the lads gets this simple job
but you still have to be care full
this lad cuts into the tin
then we hear a yeall
he has slashed his left hand to the Bone
Blood every where ,off to hospital
next day tues day,another chap
we are all mates ,you knoww,
we tell him to be care full,he laughs
5 mins later ,he yells out, he has done the same,thing
slashed hi left hand
well to CUT along story short
it also happened on the next day
talk about having the regiment in stitches

well do you know,guess what
ive just opened a can of corned beef for me dinner
and cut me FFFing THUMB
never felt a thing

you look after ,your lass,life not the same without them
