May be controversial saying this but all those thousands he earns and can't even put a ball in the back of the net from 6 yards out. No excuse to miss that

Not criticising him. At least he was there for the pass

Left foot lash into the top corner certainly was though. He sidefooted it with his right. Great bit of play though

Yep I get that - although you wouldn't expect your goalkeeper to save that as you would a striker to score from inside 6 yards

What about the header before that?

centre of the goals, unchallenged and puts it straight at the keeper. Has to do better

We should have been 2up at half time

Doesn't sound like the Tom we Saddlers know and love. Didn't get tons of chances for us, but put nearly all of them away. He'll need time to settle to the pace, and less time on the ball in the Championship.

No striker scores every time he finds himself in front of goal but Tom missed a couple of gilt-edged chances yesterday. As I have already said, I am NOT criticising him, or anyone else, for missing because the key thing is to at least get yourself into those positions. He will score plenty for us, I'm sure of that.

Looking at the tv highlights we seemed to give away some soft goals yesterday but these things happen. Shame we have lost our unbeaten away record but that doesn't matter. We'll be ok.

Should have scored really but great save. He'll miss easier chances and score dozens from much more difficult positions. That's why football can be such a great game to watch, totally unpredictable.

No keepers in League 1 would have saved that. I thought Bartosz looked a good keeper at Oakwell 7 years ago.

That miss and the free header that went straight into the goalkeepers hands was the reason we lost
Miss easy easy chances like that at this level and you will LOSE
