So they'll get away with it then

However, aren't there a load of restrictions that come with admin? Like not being able to sign players etc.

Might be bad news for them anyway.

Not necessarily- going into admin isn't like nipping down the shops, it'll take some time. Surely they have to actually default on payments which results in a winding up order by one of their creditors?

As far as I know it's voluntary

I think you make an application for a CVA and that's it, you're in Admin.

Didn't think it worked that way

you have to apply for it and it has to be accepted doesn't it.

The crediters have to agree to the CVA i.e. I agree to take 10p in the £1, that kind of thing.

Surely they can't do that in the next 5 days.

Also I posted this yesterday http://www.clubsincrisis.com/Club_Detail.asp?Key=70
and Roherham agreed the cva after 1st of march and before the end of season, so started new season with minus 10.

The way Bates is talking he sounds like he is looking for investment rather than administration.

RE: Didn't think it worked that way

Rotherham agreed a CVA after the season ended. Their meeting was due for the 5th May, day before season ended but when they realised tha tthat would relegate them they put the meeting back to 3 days after the season ended and signed the CVA within 5 minutes of the meeting starting. So they agreed it before the season ended but didnt sign till after and it was the signing date that was important.

75% of creditors have to agree to a CVA so if leeds applied for one rather than the traditionadministration then it could be refused.

When, exactly, is the end of the season?

Is it after the last scheduled match (i.e. on Sunday) or is it after the play-offs have been completed?

Leeds season ended last Saturday didn't it?!

I assume that if you are in the playoffs then the season ends when you get knocked out, otherwise it's after the last league game
