To be fair most independent forecasters think the economy will shrink if we come out but it's amusing listening to Tory Outers slagging Gideon for his made up economic figures

Wht amusing?? Do you actually believe " Deficit cleared within this term of parliament" Gideon in anything he says? More fool you.
Agree that there will be some upheaval but words like "decades of uncertainty" and figures like 6% (he cant even get deficit figures and GDP correct for the current year") comes across as scaremongering.

Had a reasoned debate with my mum on Saturday about this. Asked how she'd vote - as regular Mail/Express readers, I wasn't surprised to learn her & dad were planning to vote leave. Fair enough, everyone's view their own, but the reasons were a little worrying. It's dawned on me that lots of folk following the mantra of those, and other right-wing papers are being brainwashed into thinking that Brexit will mean the return of the British Empire. Some of the stuff mum came out with suggested she thinks it'll be like the days of the Raj all over again - British power & might enhanced across the world, major nations queuing up to do trade deals with us..... Deluded isn't a word I like to use about my own parents, but there you go.

For the record, I'll be voting to stay, but I think the Brexit lot will walk it. Worrying times.

' Gideons made up figures' that was the key sentence in my reply , the same people who are slagging Osbourne off for his economic forecast today are the same people who have supported his ludicrous forecasts since 2010

"Permanently poorer"? This is the sound of a man with no drive. I am sure if we left the eu there will be people who will be committed to dusting down the nation and driving it forward. These politicians are starting to sound like someone in the cosy world of benefits but are being told they have to find a job.
