    They've no earthly chance

This was why the rules were changed at start of season after Liverpool/Everton debacle.

They should've challenged it when the rules were changed, not when they are doing well and Arsenal might win it - makes them look like clowns.

They made the precedent at the start of this season - they should have changed it to what they did for this season.

The rules were pretty clear before and Liverpool should not have been allowed in but they changed it.

Don't understand why spurs would want to be in it, they'd be better off in the uefa cup, they'd have a chance of winning that.

    Money!

Best of both worlds anyway - get into the group stage, makes loads of money from that, finish 3rd and drop into UEFA Cup and win that!

If this happens and Spurs finish 4th but wouldn't qualify if Arsenal win CL then I'll probably be rooting for Barca in the final instead (assuming that its Barca v Arsenal in final)

they new the rules at the beginning of the season...

ans so did everyone else after last year and now being cleared up.

Its just tough titty if arsenal win...

would cause uproar, what with the rivalry between them anyway...

    Seconds out, Round 1....

Yep….they knew the rules last season but then changed them to allow Liverpool in….I don't think this bit was very well publicised.

I think it's ridiculous though to have a rule that effective says, top 4 is good enough but not if, through no fault of your own, a team wins it but aren't good enough to finish above you.
