I like his comment at the end about Bobby's testimonial. He wants to use at least 75 minutes of the game for serious purposes and then "let him muck about for 15 minutes!"

So esentially a 15 minute testimonial then. 90 seconds for each year he was at the club.

I don't bother with his interviews, they're all the same, 15 minutes of telling thi nowt, you're better off letting other listen it, then if their is actually owt of any interest people quote him on here anyway, and you don't have be board silly listening to his smug southern accent.

That wasn't what I was referring to. I usually enjoy listening to him, he comes over quite enthused and self confident. I was expecting this to be a confident, enthusiastic interview, first we've heard of him for weeks. Yet it was very downbeat in places, not what I was expecting. Maybe he's realised why the good managers who've gone before him have failed?

Didn't he half laugh at himself 5/6 times then, when he first arrived I listened one or two of his interviews, every answer to questions he was answering with another question ended with a half laugh. Nobody is ever ****, every player is a good footberler even ones he's identified as not being wanted, in chronicle after he let Oates go very good footberler, When Berry went very good footberler,

Ha ha ha I've not listened it at all, he said same about Jennings and Lita Ramage too, and I bet he's said it about every player he's deemed not good enough it's what he does, patronising b'astard of the highest order

Not of his interviews or his tactics/formations, but I don't give a toss about him talking it's what happens on the pitch I'm bothered about, if he ever manages to sign some players then I'll judge him on the way he sets them out I've not given up on the bloke but I've seen nothing that suggests to me he'll entertain me next season.

He gives a great interview, but it doesn't sound like there's a plethora of players lined up and Bobby's testimonial is a complete **** up. Might boo for 75 minutes.

If I am totally honest Matey

I am getting very nervous about the coming season, and perhaps the most nervous I have ever been... I do think that LJ is a good up and coming managerial prospect... but I am nervous that BFC may be his experiment .... lets face it Oldham have not pulled up many trees.

Re: If I am totally honest Matey

The only thing that's got me nervous, regarding Johnson is what I feel may be the bigger picture, the worst game of Football I've ever seen was Big Sams West Ham United v Barnsley at Upton Park a few years back, they scored early on, then the game was dead for 85 minutes, absolutely no intentions what so ever in playing football, the spoiling tactics were out, time wasting, 2 well drilled banks of 5, moaning at the ref to waste time, every free kick had to be spoke about at length, pulling and pushing at ever corner, so the ref had to have a word wasting even more time, pick ball up for a throwing hold it a minute then drop it and shout the left back up to throw it and so on, never looked like conceding or scoring the game was dead,
I just have it in my head that Johnson is going to be the exact same sort of manager,
