I really can't see Appleton getting the job, unless Ben and Maurice are absolutely bonkers.

I think they'll try and avoid snatching a lower league manager as well as that rarely works. There are blokes available who know what this league is all about, it's just whether they will fancy us - less than 12 months ago, no-one was bothered at all.

I reckon they will be on the phone to Ian Holloway as we speak, but I'd imagine the least he would expect is a chunk of money to change the squad in January which I doubt we have, seems Flicker has been trusted with much more funds that his predecessors and, to be honest, a lot of it has been wasted on players who are no better than what we already have.

At least Megson is a rank outsider at 33's, good. the fascist one is only 25/1, that's more worrying!

What a concerning list. Not at all convinced but Danny Wilson looks the best bet there. Would hate Di Canio, Appleton or Saunders. Hooloway I would imagine will be having a break and waiting for a Watford/Derby/Ipswich/Bristol City type job to come up.

They must be having a laugh, half of that list probably won't get a second thought. Appleton ffs.

    I've stuck £25 on Phelan at 16/1.

Would happily forsake winnings for Danny's appointment though.

Steve Agnew is an interesting one

Only experience is as caretaker manager at Boro. Maybe worth a punt with his club connections, always gave 100% for us as a player, very underrated in my opinion.
