So far he's bought/signed 4 strikers that i can think of, Hayes and Nardiello at the start of the season...Richards and Wright within the last month, and now Windass.</p> Almost 37 years OLD, and £100k. £100 fecking thousand pounds!!! What doesn't he get? Last few games, its conceeding goals thats cost us! Its a big beastly defender we want to play with Reid.....with experience at this level.</p> Why spend 100k when he can go sign that Centre Half who QPR released (ex Chesterfield) for nothing?</p> And back to Warnock, if he wants another striker, why not go see what Neil has to spare? Christ, there are about 9 strikers at that club...and a certain Mr A Ward springs to mind.</p> A) there is no real reason to spend 100k</p> B) Windass is too old</p> C) we a strong centre half</p> D) the 100k we could save ourselves, could go towards a centre back and another strikers wages, cos there are loads of freebe's out there at the moment! </p>
I didn't see many people questioning Paul Jewells judgment when he offered £400.000 for Windass four months ago.
It's not that he is a bad player... .. it's just that we need a DEFENDER (not more forwards). I also agree with Lee, there shouldn't be any need to pay a transfer fee nowadays.
