Bullock on Villa interest:

"BARNSLEY WINGER Martin Bullock has revealed that a move to Aston Villa would be a dream for him, in the wake of reports that Villa boss John Gregory is watching the 23-year-old's progress"

"I'm not interested in going on loan to anywhere except somewhere like Barcelona"

    Err... Blackpool?

from a lars leese article !!

"I started against Grimsby where we won and in the home game against Palace when we won 4-0, so things were going right for me, but then we had a really bad performance against Tranmere when we lost 3-0 and I gave away a shitty first goal and he dropped me because of that."

    Hehe

Great player for us though was Bully, especially in the Prem season, remember him destroying Sol Campbell at Oakwell in the cup win , who at the time was the best centre back in the country.

    Hendrie and Ljungberg

BARNSLEY BOSS, John Hendrie has revealed that he had a ?1.3m bid for Swedish international striker, Fredrik Ljungberg rejected prior to England's Euro 200 Qualifier against Sweden.

Ljungberg came to prominence after shining for Sweden against England last weekend and is now one of the hottest target's in Europe with Premiership giants Arsenal and Chelsea chasing the 21 year olds signature.

Hendrie was alerted to the Swedish international by his Oakwell number two, Peter Shirtliff but his offer was rejected.

"When we made an approach he told us he had eyes on the Premiership or a move to Italy and after he played so well against England he is now in demand."

Hendrie also revealed that he missed out on Feyenoord's Republic of Ireland striker, David Connolly, who opted instead for a season's loan at Molineux with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Despite these two near misses Hendrie is continuing his search for a striker to fire Barnsley's promotion bid.

"It's not easy bringing the right players in. I had no time after taking over from Danny Wilson, but we are not exactly sitting back and doing
