This is my first post, been visiting for a couple of years tho...
Started going to Oakwell when I was 5 now 35 used to go with mi dad & uncle and sit on mi dads shoulders. We used to stand in West Stand lower (ponty end) resting our backs against the wall below the upper tier.

I go now with my 2 boys now & sit in Ponty end with mi dad & mam...

My memories are (without boring you all)

    Glavin (God)

Losing 0-4 to Liverpool (rush & co played in yellow strip classic) in FA Cup it was on TV. I was ill mumps I think, dad went on his own I cried before the game and during...

Cooper & Currie (super cool) Curries goal against Newcastle ponty end 'get in!'

Fast forward because I missed the premiership (work lots of it)

Old Wembley we went with Outpost and ended up going on last bus which was the Jump Circ... Superb day remember it for ever. Higgy's goal what a feeling!

Cardiff penalty shoot out! Back to where we belong...

Chelsea FA Cup you can shove your f------ millions up your arse!

Liverpool FA Cup how could I possibly put it into words

Feels like we have been in wilderness since then just scraping by & escaping the drop. Players whether bought or on loan coming & going with no real care or love for the club.

and now for the first time in a long time I feel excited about match days, reading the chronicle & reading the posts on this board. Don't get me wrong I am not getting carried away but we have a group of players who are really trying their best and playing as a team. We just need to get behind em and give them the best support we can. Thank you Barnsley Football Club for giving me those feelings back.

    Thanks for reading.

Uredz.............remember all of your Reds memoires.

Most people I speak to whom have supporetd Reds pre-Premiership are all getting the same feeling back.....that of pride and excitement.

Think Hill and Flicker are doing a first-class job and I think Hill's interviews are excellent...........I was warned by a Rochdale fan to expect a candid appraoch to his media skills......he has not let us down !!!

Welcome aboard... and an enjoyable first contribution matey.
I think even I cant believe the impact of Hillcroft. I hoped for all this, but didnt expect it so soon.
And as good as the recruitments been, the tactics, the graft and the proper Barnsley football, the main thing I thank Keith, Flicker, the staff and players for, is that old feeling that had died a little... that excitement, that anticipation, the wondering, the dreaming..
Its good to have it back again :)
