Grandkids can't wait its all they tend to go on about . And these youtube clips that BRF is posting is amazing the little one who's only six into disbelief i must save em he says. Its nice to hear. I'll tell yeah this though he's just as mad on Man Utd - Chelsea- Liverpool etc etc but he'll be a true red's fan for sure . Its them what convinced me so it'll run and run....Cant wait till they can afford their own stubs though.... (nodding2fingers) ....

Blimey! Ar thowt wi seyyin that worra Grimsby fan first off - settle thissen darn lad! Ahh! I do remember the cricket pitch being flooded on more than one occasion. Brig Bottom against Goole in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup - lost in extra time. Red Lion was a better pub before it was the Button Mill, or whatever it's called now. Disco's at the Ship. Elm Tree being classed as a 'Den of Thieves' due to a police raid that found quite a few stolen goods (video recorders mainly). Cutting Edge with its roast on a Sunday evening when the disco was going on in the opposite side of the tap room. Wharf lock-ins when the landlord went to bed and left a glass on the bar - which is where we left our money after pouring ourselves a drink. Mud wrestling at the Dale Club..... The trains organised by Barrow club. Barrow pit eh? My old man worked there for about 30 years - retired through ill health at 55. And, ironically, died in Grimsby! And what about Steve Baradell being watched by Clarkie in '78?
RE: Blimey! And another thing...... bricking Sheff Wednesday's coaches in 1981 when they drove through Wuzbrer after we beat them one nowt. Fun and games when two coaches stopped, and a certain local lad (who shall remain anonymous) nicked a police car.

RE: Blimey! I was from the Dale.... near the Greyhound. Mi Dad died of pneumoconyiosis but the NCB put it down to emphysema.... in the end the old ear got a payout through Raleys. He died in my arms - he woke up from a slumber and shouted "come on Alan (my cousin and his regular drinking partner) lets get to bar, it's last orders"..... at which he snuffed it. He must have thought he was going to the bar in the Dale club when in effect he was off skywards. Where in Birdwell? I've had the odd drink in the Wharncliffe but we had a phase when we were 17 of drinking in the **** Inn. How long did you work at Barrow for?
