I have read this board for a while now and it seems a bit of a mixed bag to be honest. Living in Selby i need all the help i can get trying to keep up with the goings on at Oakwell and around Barnsley in general so i thought i'd get involved. 1. Any transfer news? 2. Where does everybody drink on a matchday? 3. Who's off to Rochdale and where are they heading when they arrive? (I'm going by train via Leeds) That's it really for now but hopefully i'll be able to contribute as we get into the new season. Keep the faith!
Welcome aboard, mate. 1. We have Ibrahima Sonko & a lad called Hogan from Stocksbridge on trial. There's a rumour doing the rounds that Tomasz Cywka is also here. 2. Tend to meet up with jedi one in the ground early doors & we do our imitation of Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets! 3. I'll be on an archaeological dig. This will of no help to you whatsoever. Sorry mate.
Welcome on board selby, if you've been reading this board awhile I'm sure you will have formed your own opinions on who to ignore and who talks common sense, answer to your questions mate there's always loads of rumours flying round with regards transfers, I usually pop in the dove for a quickie and unfortunately I can't make rochdale, will you be going over?
I get to as many games as i can which is tricky from Selby. I can't wait for Rochdale. I'm going through with my dad and younger brother and hoping to be there for about 12 for a pint and a catch up with some of the lads i haven't seen since the last game. I do have an idea of who has their head screwed on yeah but its all about opinions or this board would be pointless.
1) not heard anything 2) Courthouse is preferred option 3) I'm on the 07:10 from Glasgow, should be in Rochdale for the back of 11am to meet a few Reds fans, and pub info is here: http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?171948-Away-pubs-at-Rochdale
Cheers! i'll keep having a look on here to see where most people are heading. That's a right trek for a league cup game.......
Thought it was about time i joined and stopped boring my girlfriend with all my Barnsley related conversations and put them on here instead. Sorry in advance
I travel to around 10 or 12 away games a season and most home games on the train and it costs me an arm and a leg. Are you a lottery winner or good at hiding?
I normally drive to home games and stop over at Premier Inn. Away games are usually done on public transport, plenty of bargains out there to be found
The best games are those like Southampton when 418 of us turn up and making more noise than 1,000 of us at Coventry, always a good day out regardless of the result.
