Apparently Wigan want rid to get him off wage bill. A permanent is more likely than a loan. My hope is that he has realised he has made a killing from football, and wants to get back to playing regularly on a wage cut. We can all dream can't we?
Any of those three would be brilliant, I'd prefer Mackay Steven but he'd only get taken off us because he is at least Championship quality. If we got him i'd be unbelievably surprised. Got a good feeling about tomorrow/today.
Neither would be my guess, Mackay Steven costs too much and won't come anyway, Holt too much in wages and would probably want Championship football.
Higdon the most likely but I can't see that either. Unless Holt is willing to take a substantial pay cut, he won't be in this division next season in spite of the rumours, West Ham all but signed him a couple of weeks back. Macken - Stephen will go to a championship team.
If higdon signs it will be a serious sign of intent. Saying that, any of those signing are classed as 'box office'.
Holt is past it. Either of the other two would be great but defo can't see us getting Mackay-Steven to be honest.
Cant see how were anywhere near signing higdon if we had a trialist striker playing last night. For me all 3 are out of our reach. But ive been wrong many times before. I just think higdon turned us down when we were in the championship so why are we more attractive now. Be very surprised.
Chesterfield were in for him apparently but couldn't afford his wages so he's open to a drop into league 1 by the looks of it.....
If we don't sign all three by midday sack the board In all seriousness though all three would be cracking signings. Even if we got just one it would be good. More than that and we'd all be very happy.
