After the 3rd goal went in we gave it 10 minutes to see if we could pull a goal back and then decided we had seen enough, on the walk up the hill towards town in the pouring rain a old favourite of mine passed us with his son, Bruce dyer. after talking to a taxi driver bruce and his lad ended up at side of us walking, so I said hello and asked him his thoughts on the game. We had a decent chat about the game and the season so far, after that I said to bruce the team in 2000 was one of my favourite seasons as a young en with you higgy,Shipperly and Barnard he said yeah good days, my lad who is 8 then said "was you good" bruce laughed and said "I was alright" I joked he would still make the bench now bring your boots wednesday he laughed. Was a little star struck but lovely fella, nice to talk to and good to see him at oakwell with his lad. When we got back home I showed my lad some highlights of bruce and the 2000 team. Poor today but hopefully pick up some points soon. UTR
My highlight, other than cauleys goal, was parking on someone's drive and getting away quickly after the game.
