Great result and some really nice goals there, Burnley's first goal is a nice solo effort by Fletcher, but De Silva's long range shot is just magnificent! Wow
I really wish that Hume had scored the first one, I can see him already celebrating the goal when his header hits the post... fortunately Macken was in the right place at the right time to make it 1-1! Perhaps Hume was still a bit pissed off, as he doesn't look too happy when De Silva's screamer goes in. :D

Burnley's second goal looks a bit too easy, Colace's diving header from De Silva's cross is nice to watch though.

Colaces run into the box for his goal was reminiscent of brian howard

Anderson is well pumped up when Colace scores. In another setting it would look like he is close to chinning him. Great goals. You reds.

Let's hope Robins gets them both new contracts sorted before they go swanning off talking to new clubs.

Bristol might come sniffing again, and Anderson has only got this year left (not sure about Colace, think he signed again). Who knows though, they might want to stay and play for Robins. Koz was saying that all the players have really taken to him, and others have mentioned things like training being refreshing. I get the impression they like him. A lot might respect him because of what he did as a player, because he was a very good player. Its early days but I have a good feeling about Robins. He may have only managed at a low level but he had his career at the top, so knows how things are, he might bring a bit of that with him, and when you look at the players he has brought in (or rumoured to be) he seems to have the contacts too.

    Two sloppy goals.

Moore was beaten too easily for the first, and Kozluk showed some more schoolboy defending for their second.

Great performance from the Reds though. What a night.

the reason that hume might not look too happy

When anderson scored was that he was perfectly positioned begging for a pass from hammill who ignored him (then he ran offside), then hammill had a chance to shoot but didn't, then macken was perfectly positioned and begged for the ball but hammill didn't pass (then he went offside too), then hammill had ANOTHER chance to shoot, then he ran himself into difficulty and passed to anderson who saved his arse by smashing it into the net from 5 miles.

great goal but hammill almost fecked it up big time

RE: the reason that hume might not look too happy

he's playing exactly like jcr used to, runs with his head down beating needless players when a pass is a better option, he needs to slow down a bit, av a look up and pass the ball, he's got great potential just needs to calm down a bit and not try and be lionel messi

I'm not surprised he was taking players on...

....the way he ran Eckersley(?) ragged in the first half he must've felt like he was Messi.

i don't mind him beating his man, id just rather him beat his man then do one of the following cross/shoot/pass not get tackled or run it out

Their second - poor poor defending by Kozluk leading with the wrong leg and then.....

.........Colace making things easy for the winger to get round him

    Terrible terrible defending /poo

We have to be better at defending than this if we are going to climb up the league

    That third goal

is what we wre missing all last season..

Decisive forward play, quick and fluid movement, great running into the box, and superb service.

Well done M R, great to watch football back at'well

    Watch that 3rd goal again

When the move starts, Colace is only just outside our own box. He runs almost the length of the field to get the free header in. I wonder what motivated him to do that?
