****ing soft red card that. Given the types of tackles seen on Hammill himself. Given the tackle on White only got a yellow and I was much worse. Bury players surrounded the ref. I hope they go bust. ****ing awful side
Christ, that pitch is a mess. My local team's is better, and they play in the Midland Combination Division 1. Still, looks like we should have been out of sight before half time (again). And I'm not sure whether it's the camera angle, but that looks like a very unlucky red card for Hammill. It was a poor tackle, but I've seen far worse punished with a yellow.
You're right about Hourihane's miss. He sliced it badly, unusually for him, and should have scored. Hammill's sending off? The ref looked very eager to brandish the red card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE]
My view as well he gets a 3 game ban for that trying a bit too hard to get the ball - yet the Doncaster player who deliberately fouled White and probably ended his season with a professional foul is fine to keep playing You see challenges like that from Hammil most games and the worst they get is a yellow
Card happy ref completely spoiled the game, stop start all the way through. Couldn't wait to give a red card. There must have been 5 or 6 worse tackles in that game from bury than the one Hammil got sent if for. getting fed up of the cynical "take one for the team" trips from behind in this league
I've seen folk say Winnall was poor, but he's involved in nearly everything in those highlights. Inside and outside the box. And his chance was hardly the miss I was expecting to see either. I don't see any point in appealing the red card. It's not a bad one, but it won't get overturned. And a rest might be just what Adam needs.
Pointless appealing. Will only be overturned if the referee says he gave it for the wrong reason. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
After seeing the highlights I think we could have easily won this match but a draw is anyway a good result and if we can keep up the present form we can still most surely make the play offs in spite of the terrible 8 match losing streak and in spite of the terrible management we endured through the Johnson period.
Apart from the last couple of months of his tenure and the winning run that put us in a position of being able to even remotely think about the playoffs, yeah? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
