It's more annoying that the referee, who had a better view, didn't see it, but someone at the other end of the pitch did...
No one is denying that, it's the fact that the ref was 15 yards away and was unable to spot it, and the linesman was some 50-60 yards away and gave it.
I agree it wasn't deliberate and i'm not sticking up for the ref but his hand was up near his head. You raise your hand you're risking the same as what happened yesterday
You're asking for a penalty, and imo it was, but the way the incident was handled (see what I did there...) was amateur at best.
Yes it was, and that is from supposedly one of the countries best referees. The linesman is there to assist the referee hence to name assistant referee and so sorry - cue the abuse - the linesman got it correct
I don't think anyone can argue that he got it wrong. Well, not if they've seen the incident. And if that's one of the country's best referee's, it's not just coaching players the FA need to improve...
