We can't wear our dark blue away shorts or socks because they clash with Brentford's black shorts and socks. Referee decides to wear his black shorts and socks. Full time now these tossers aren't they?
Same Tuesday night. Only difference in Newcastle's and ref's kit was that the ref didn't have white stripes. He might as well have done though.
If the colour of his kit doesn't matter then why do referees have different colour kits? This isn't some part time bloke who found out at 1pm he was going to be ref so stuffed the first pair of shorts he could find into his bag and headed out the door. It's a full time referee. His appointment to the game was made public on Monday, at the least that's 5 days to check what colour kit the home team wears but as usual the incompetence and/or slack attitude towards their job us all too clear. Is it so hard to wash a pair of shorts that aren't a clash?
For all their critics recently, credit has to go to both Winnall and Kent. That flick on for the first goal from Winnall was fantastic, considering his smallish stature. He can't be accused of not celebrating his goal also, and finds himself as top scorer again. Kent's run for the 2nd, and neat one two with Armstrong (I think it was) was sublime. We've got good players who can play football. They're young and inexperienced and will struggle against some more established opposition players, such as the likes of Scott Parker, but they're improving all the time and will get their just rewards for their hard work. There was a little element of luck about both goals, but the build up for both was of the finest quality and when you play well, you tend to get the rub of the green that you deserve.
