Evidently Craig was a whisker from getting the job before D.F.I wonder if he's under consideration this time?It was rumoured at the time that if we'ed lost to Leeds Hignett would have been our manager. So if he was that close last time he must have impressed in his interview.

It is no rumour, it is true that Hignett was offered the job, but after we beat Leeds he was told he was not wanted as we were keeping Flitcroft. It was agreed that he would be announced at lunchtime the day after the Leeds match. He was not very pleased, so maybe he is not bothered this time ?

What would we give for a Craig Hignett 1999 vintage now.
