Re: Ryan Shotton is going out on loan from Stoke Whats happened to him then? was playing regular last season.
Not sure Stoke seem to have a large squad and Pulis is looking to spend again this window. Other clubs will be interested no doubt, but he'd be a great loan signing if he'd come.
Re: Ryan Shotton is going out on loan from Stoke Christ on a bike, CT and SM agree. Can't see Pep brining Shotton in. One he can tackle. Two he can head. Three he can pass. Four he would take the place of Wiseman
I'd be very surprised If we were to bring in a couple of players now before the window closes tomorrow night. I think it's much more likely we'll secure a couple of long term loan deals, once that particular window re opens the week after next.
Re: I'd be very surprised Shotton is way out of our league now I think - would end up at a club of Forest or Leeds' size. Good call though, great player. Lewin Nyatanga is a player who I always thought would do well. Not dissimilar to Shotton. Still only 24. Championship experience. Worth a punt imho.
From Tranfer Rumours site: Three players are set to leave Barnsley in the next few days as Keith Hill looks to make space in his squad for new incomings. David Gonzalez, who was only on non contract terms, will join Aberdeen on a deal until January. Defender Lee Collins is set to leave on loan to Port Vale until January with a view to a permanent deal. Collins only signed in the summer from Vale but has found opportunities limited. Chris Dagnall is also set to leave. Former club S****horpe have had a bid accepted in a loan deal until the new year. The former Rochdale star is wanting more regular football and wants to help out struggling United. Hill is also close to bringing in a defender as well as another forward. The defender is England under 21 international Craig Dawson. The former Radcliffe Borough player is wanted by a number of Championship clubs but is keen to sign on at Oakwell until the end of the season. Albion will have a recall clause back during the January transfer window. The striker is thought to be long term target Chris O'Grady. The Sheffield Wednesday attacker is keen on a stay at Hillsborough but could move across South Yorkshire to get more regular football.
