Was anyone sat in Gangway U top at the top 2 rows, near the left corner of the away end?

What a joke, they had more or less issued duplicate ticket's to everyone up there, there was families with kid's having to shout up steward's and mess about moving down to the lower tier or to find another seat. The steward's had no idea what was going on and everyone was just clambering for a seat and just telling everyone 'everywhere's double booked'.

Was especially a nuisance at about 2:55 when everyone mainly started to flock in.

Very poor SWFC, very poor indeed. First game of the season you'd expect them to double and triple check the ticket's and figure's over.

    Found it embarassing for them.

    Without any disrespect meant

You think they would've learned their lesson from the Hillsborough tragedy.

That could've turned into a similar situation.

made me chuckle when we were sat in the upper tier..but the turnstiles stated on the ticket were for lower tier!

Know-one could more or less move on the top row.

I was one infront and still ticket's were duplicate and exactly the same, it was around those 3/4 row's as i had to tell a few that had the same ticket as me that 'they've bee double booked'.

Very frustrating indeed, bloke behind me had same ticket as 4 other's and kept having to tell other's this, was a joke to be honest (doh).

Duno about you lot, but I had a moment thinking about all those Liverpool fans that died not 20ft from where I was sat (I was in lower tier). Even looked at the gates on the way out thinking which one was opened allowing all those fans to flood in.

Can't see it happening again with all seater stadiums, but it was a high price to pay to get where we are.

Know the feeling. One of the many reasons I didn't want to go today. The upper tier concourse is so crowded and that's even without people smoking in the bogs. If they didn't break rules doing so you would have even less room to move in the concourse. But if a fire happened up there it would take an age to empty people out of there down those narrow stairs.

I had lower tier tickets with upper tier turnstiles on them. Very confusing.

Yes I was in that gangway and had to go sit in the lower tier. Thoughts of the Hillsborough disaster did come to my mind and shook me up a little bit. I hope that something will come about this but the thing is I have no proof as the steward took my ticket off me !

Had seats; WU2 row 31 seat 19 & 20. Seat 19 was double booked. Volunteered to go into lower as son not a fan of the high ups.
A very worrying and embarrassing **** up for the site of the worst disaster in English football. Glad we were in early.

Well i wasn't far off there

and we were okay. Mad though init. how'd they manage that, surely it isn't rocket science to print off tickets all with different seat references on em.

Yeah you were 4 seats from me as i was 15 on the same row, as i just got in the other bloke came in and you and your lad offered to move which was a nice touch.

That shouldn't have been the case though, how the hell they managed to print duplicate ticket's off for a 1st game of the season is beyond me, especially wiht it being a local derby aswell.

It's like a fecking zoo to get out of aswell, can't bleeding move. Feel's like your going to get trampled on - they should have more than one exit for all the upper tier, very poor indeed.

must have been your foot I trod on.

young 'un bad with high stands. Started when I let his granddad (an owl!) take him to the Millennium for the play-off final they won the year before us. They were up the top of that stand and when the winner went in a fat piggie lost his balance and fell on our Daniel. never been the same since.
Newcastle in the carling cup pushed him too far. We watched that game on the tele on the concourse.

6 out of 8 apostrophes in this message are wrong.

    Kid's - Steward's - Ticket's - Figure's - totally meaningless.

    I'm impressed! Was this deliberate?

Yes I'm back - Mr Pedantic.

    Because it is VERY irritating

My message was not abusive, so why are you being abusive to me?

Oh and petulant is not the right word anyway.

RE: Because it is VERY irritating

It was intended as being abusive otherwise you wouldn't have picked up on it.

And YES Petulant is the correct word, your just picking up on any little fault...
