Any average striker could have taken half a second to think about it then just rolled it into the corner of the net. Hemmings swung his leg, tried to bounce it over the keeper and there was a defender there. Poor, poor effort Kane. Kind of sums up his day really.

I thought that little winger Mahon looked decent but, according to the BBC, he was sensational. Ok.

Our formation (again) and lack of a proper Right Back made Mahon look like Ronaldo/Bale.

It's a recurring theme - how many teams in recent years have turned up with a little, fast winger who has ripped us to shreds? He looked a decent player and I would have liked to have seen Holgate or Bree up against him. Brown would make an average Sunday league player look good.

To be fair to the lads who are playing there, we are pretty much sending them to the wolves, because we dont protect them, at all. Due to this god forsaken Diamond we have no width defensively or when we have it, therefore when we lose it their full backs have half the field to go and join the wingers and we are under the cosh. It doesnt help that we are weak on both sides in the full back position which is why I can't for the life of me understand why this formation is chosen.

It can be a good one with 2 strong full backs who can bomb on and get back, who can also defend. We don't have any of that. I feel for the lads who are asked to play there, cos they are left isolated week in week out.

I dont know why, when Ramage went off, that Brown didnt just go and play there, leaving Cranie in the position he was picked for.

Agree with this, I said to the lads sat with me put Brown to CB and leave Cranie at RB. Wilson switched them and then chester's first attack after the substitution almost resulted in a goal as Brown backed off their No.7 letting him run into the box unchallenged.

    Bizarre, innit?

In a recent interview, Danny suggested Brown was a centre half and had been asked to do a job at right back. So aye, we see Ramage injured and bring on centre half Brown yet swap him with Cranie at right back. Also, ignoring Holgate who'd done well enough at right back in midweek.

It's oreight defending Danny, which I do quite often, but surely even his biggest advocate must find his decision making somewhat bizarre at the minute.

I've no idea who was playing at the tip of the diamond today either. Looked like five of the front six were fluid, swapping about. Only Lita retained his position throughout. It's clearly not working, whatever the **** this system actually is that he's setting them up in. The full backs aren't looking up to it, and for reasons already explained by Nutkins. Our centre halves are ***** at defending set plays. And we've a midfield without any graft or steely determination.

Remove Winnall, and take into consideration the poor form of Hourihane recently and we're left with only Turnbull performing anything like. All comes back to the manager I'm afraid and whilst I'm not even in the slightest suggesting a change there (not at all), he's doing a good job of making it difficult for me and others to defend him.

I'm sure Dyson will be on tomorrow to tell us all to chill art, mind.
