    So Davey really did get messed about in the transfer window.....

    Charlton had us waiting about 6 weeks for Gray(worth the wait though) and Palace agreed to sell us a player they didn't own.

    I just thought it was all smoke and mirrors when he said deals he was close to doing kept going wrong!

    just think of all the players he signed how many did we have a reyt song and dance with contracts/clearances/work permits whoteva... SimpleSimon could pick em.

    it was a case of he went for players that were awkward so they would be cheaper to try and get the most out of his transfer budget.

    I wouldn't call 600k for a Striker cheap.

    I wasn't the best of Davey fan but that's harsh to say the least.

    Hammill cost 400k too.

    I'm certainly glad we got Gray in and not Alan Lee, seems to have a bit more about him if you ask me
