Why do people go to Mexico, Florida, West Africa etc. just to lie on a beach, when you can go to say the Canaries a lot cheaper?
Suppose it's same as people going to Torquay when you can go to Spain etc for the same price Everyone is different I have no interest in long distance flights But that's due to hating flying from start to finish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You don't go to Florida to lay on a beach though. Been twice, last time this Easter and can't imagine doing a laying on the beach holiday again.
been to the canaries and it has rained, once in lanzarote it rained for ten days out of the fourteen we were there. After that we started going to Goa and out of near on twenty years of going we have only seen rain once.Wall to wall sunshine and a way of life completely different to what we are used to is why we go.
Funny how we all differ..... A 4 hour flight is the limit for me, my idea of a holiday is laying at the pool from 9.30am returning back to the room about 6.30pm!!! In between reading, sleeping, bit of lunch and a few light ales!! Perfection
You can go to Blackpool and lay on the Beach. The only problem is you may have a Dog Turd for company
I don't remember it being like that when we went to magaluf mate Oh yes where parents now haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I imagine the theory is that the further away you go the less likely you are to meet a British tourist.
Playa del Carmen is better than Cancun too. Been to Mexico 5 times and only stayed in Cancun once, not my cup of tea, too many Yanks getting bladdered for my taste. Mexico is a fantastic place to travel to, some stunning places to see and the people are fantastic. We are thinking of trying Puerta Vallarta on the Pacific Coast next time.
Scarborough...Cricket Festival week, nowt better. Mind you off to Lanzarote on Friday, daresay I'll make the most of it...
Been to Florida twice in the last 12 month and I didn't go anywhere near a beach (can't stand the things). I went to Disney World and to all the restaurants/attractions on International Drive. I'd go back again tomorrow if I could.
Went to Puerto Vallarta back in 98/99 absolutely loved it. It's on our list of places to return, once the kids are old enough to be left at home
Been to Mexico & Florida & neither were beach holidays. Both were fortnight trips & tended to have a day doing something (theme park, boat trip, ruins, Dolphins etc) then the next chilling then the day after back doing something. If I'd paid all that money to just sunbathe I'd question my sanity
