Planning a holiday in Spain at the end of the month - if I leave boking until the last minute will I get a better deal and where is the best place to book these hopefully 'cheap' holidays - on line - which site(s) or travel agent? thanks.
Does anyone know if price of flights drop once they gone up Looked at a flight last week and it's since gone up today. Is there a tendency for them to drop back down again
If the flight looks as though it will not be full they may come down again , try Ryanair from East Midlands airport ( seems the cheapest place to fly from )then go to Alpharooms website for a hotel easy website to navigate and some amazing deals . Just booked a week in Albuferia beginning of October flights £110 return and a hotel through Alpharooms £55 ( 3 star self-catering ) a week abroad for less than £170 can't beat it.
I booked a flights-only holiday recently. I kept an eye on the prices for a couple of months but was waiting for my credit card deadline to pass so I'd get an extra month to pay it off. As it happened the prices dropped right on cue as flights that hadn't been available before suddenly came online. Prices fell as supply increased and I was lucky. I used www.booking.com. If you're prepared to be flexible with dates and times as well as airports then you can just be patient. If you're going in the next week or two though you may not have the choice. But try travel agents as well as websites as they may have special offers on.
I always book everything separately. Book the flights first. You'll find if you book 7 or 14 days the return flight will be mega expensive. Go for an odd number of days ie 6 8 9 etc Then book your accommodation separately to match the flights. I do this every year. I stayed 10 days in a 3 bed villa in Lanzarote including flights for 3 adults £1400. The travel agents wanted between £1900 to £2200!!
icelolly.com seemed the cheapest of the websites for me. they just give you a minimum price mind and then you have to call a travel operator, who usually bumps up the price a few quid for extras! still was far cheaper than any of the main online companies
Suppose it depends, we fancied a last minute get away to tenerife so we searched on just about every website and travel agents we could find and the cheapest price we got was a Norwiegen Air flight which made 4 stops before we would land in Tenerife and the cost of the flight was 4 grand. Believe it or not most flights happened to be booked up this time of year. Weve ended up booking 4 weeks in Tenerife in January now in the 5 star sandos san blas which we go to every year and its cost us just over 550 quid per person which we are obviously over the moon with considering we payed over £1100 per person to go there for 10 days in the summer just gone.
i need to book a taxi on friday. can anybody tell me the place place to book a taxi please? i also need to get on a train, do the shopping and find my way to the end of the street. any help welcome.
Do you live on a cul-de-sac? If so, the end of the street should be fairly easy to recognise. If not, you need to be careful in case you go to the wrong end, which could (if your street is very long) result in significant wasted energy.
Flights - Via Skyscanner Accomodation - Travel Republic (Always look for voucher codes) Transfers - Hoppa (Always look for voucher codes) Book in that order.
I've given it some thought and you may like to consider the train station for the train. Must get some work done now.
Am in Spain nar till tommorow, we always book flights only and book hotel through their own website. Weather is good right now, 27/28c
Try deleting your cookies/searching in a different browser. Travel websites put their prices up for people returning to their website as they reckon they've got you hooked and as you've come back, you're going to buy. (My husband makes travel websites).
I always book through Expedia and click through quidco first. As someone said above, try odd numbers of nights. Also, avoid certain days. I helpfully can't remember which ones right now but just clicking it and checking days either side will show you straight away. A Saturday for example was £300 each more expensive on flights to Florida than flying on the Tuesday. I can't remember the exact days but there are about 3 days (some midweek) to avoid unless you are desperate to fly on those days. Hubby and I have been to Hawaii and Florida (twice) in the last 2 years and each time we've paid around £1800 which included 11 nights in a 4 star hotel, flights and transfers for both of us. None of the holidays were direct flights though (2 transfers each time), but that saved us literally thousands of pounds. Each time booked through Expedia and as we clicked though quidco we then got 10% back in cashback (they generally do quite good America cashback deals for Expedia) and 1000 nectar points.
