Knew I should have kept mi gob shut. (2 short)
Interestingly. England have the best 3 scores ever.
And dare I say it, I'd forgot the 481 in 2018 against the AUSSIES.

Malan getting the last wicket with his first ever over of bowling in internationals. I bet he loved it.

It can’t be far off for Morgan. Who’s making way for Bairstow, Root and Stokes in the 50 over game?

We’re overflowing with quality white ball players…. batters particularly … so Root may not be considered anyway.
Who would make way for the other two ? I haven’t got a clue but Morgan will have to drop himself a few times this year like he’s done in the past.

Livingstone, Salt and Billings offer batting and other attributes like bowling and stumping.
The Currans offer good options and we seem to have plenty decent bowlers without any world class ( Rashid possibly )

I think Root will come back into the 50 over side, for Malan, but Malan will stay in the t20 team.
Suspect Bairstow is already inked in for the openers spot in the next ODI worlds cup in India next year already, but can see Salt giving Roy some serious competition.

At some point a decision will be needed on how valuable England see Morgan’s captaincy/leadership vs giving Buttler or Ali the job and putting Livingstone into the first choice 11. I reckon he’ll hang around for the t20 World Cup this year, but not the ODI comp next year.

Think we will see changes after the next world cup.

But at the moment. Roy Bairstow Root Morgan Stokes Butler Ali S Curran Archer (if fit) Rashid Wood

Is that your 50 over team? With the next World Cup being held in India, they might want an extra spinner in the team. Maybe Livingstone as an all rounder. I’m not sure about Curran over Woakes either.
Roy’s reputation against spin isn’t the best, so he might not be a shoe in.
