    To replace him?
At odds of 7/4, King Keith Hill.
Make of this what you will.

    **** sake!

Wish everyone would stop changing managers so we could be safe in the knowledge of ours staying here.

Just seen this also...bit surprised he's the favourite. Looking at Blackpool's message board, they seem to be positive at the thought of Keith as manager and they all seem to be mentioning their chariman will go for the cheap option and I am right in thinking Hill is on a rolling contract i.e it wouldn't cost a lot to get him from Barnsley?

    Interesting times!

Everybody knows I love Keith. But if he goes, he goes. We'd move on, as ever.
Nobody is bigger/better than the club, except Hemsworth.

Wouldn't be the words i'd use.

    Worrying times seem more apt.

Out of all the clubs that have changed their managers I think Blackpool might be the most realistic for our Keith to go to.

    Shi.ttin it.

All this speculation is really starting to wear thin. If Keef leaves us for Blackpool it will be because the club can't match his ambitions and he feels that he is doing a job with both hands tied behind his back. Losing a very good manager to the mighty Blackpool will be a watershed moment in our recent history, still if it does happen there will be some very happy Barnsley fans.

Might actually get a striker and centre half in if he goes

Aye, I'm sure the new gaffer can find a couple down the back of his couch.

I hope KK stays to complete his project although I can see how starting his project at Blackpool with a more sound financial base may be appealling.

Not sure who is available to replace him if he does go.

Blow would have been softened if we could have got Mick in, not sure he would have come though, but now hes got himself fixed up with the tractor boys so that option is out.

Football getting more pointless i see. Managers always seem to be changing at all clubs, so much so that its always back to square one for most without any real progress. In this instance i suppose Ollie has left a legacy behind what with getting them promoted, but if the worst was to happen and Hill leaves, thats us back to square one, just like alot of other clubs without any progress. Boring.

If he does go, and I am praying he doesn't, we won't be in the market for somebody of big Mick's calibre; we'll end up with somebody like Russell Slade and our descent into the **** will begin. If he goes the people who have constantly criticised him will realise just how much good he was doing for our club, and how he was building for the future, but of course it will be too late.

To be fair, it might kickstart the 'takeover' and we might be able to afford someone decent. God knows who though.

With the compensation from Blackpool we'd have more than enough to get the legend Steve Davies from Crewe. A takeover and a new manager are just what is needed. In my opinion of course.

He might not even want to go anyway

My thoughts exactly, would be very dissapointed if he went, but, whatever happens he won't be here for ever, thats football, we move on. If he did go I would like to see a concerted effort to get Steve Davis from Crew, he seems to be making a decent job there and with his previous links to the club I think he would be given a decent amount of time before being vilified by the usual suspects.

I'm sure he was favourite for both the Blackburn and Bolton jobs at one point. Wait and see before worrying. He's a good manager, one of the best we've had for a while, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he were to leave.

Agree with t'owd man, and Conan.
If Keith departs, I hope we go for Steve Davis, for obvious reasons.
Paul Tisdale, Greg Abbott, Neil Redfearn or Bobby Hassell would be good options too.
Keith is my man, but I won't accept that only he can scrape 21st in this division.

Those odd look a bit worrying. Really don't want Keith to leave but who knows whats going on behind the scenes. Maybe the takeover has unsettled him or maybe its just nonsense. If he does leave and there is no takeover I can't see us getting anyone better and our squad now is full of players loyal to him.

    Its never dull

If he does go there's going to be a lot of fans of league 2 teams shatting themselves
