<div class="borderBottom"> <div class="article"><div class="borderBottom"> <div class="article"><div class="articleText"><h3 id="headline" class="headline">A MASSIVE DAY IN ARGYLE HISTORY </h3><div id="articleBody" class="articleBody"> <span style="font-weight: normal;">THE PILGRIMS have made their most exciting new signing for many, many years. </span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">It is the sort of day that everymember of the Green Army will remember where they were and what theywere doing when they heard the news.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Argyle manager Ian Holloway has come out of retirement as a player and signed on as a fully-fledged squad member.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">The manager was startlinglyhonest about the physical shortcomings of his newest acquisition butexperience can make all the difference.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">"I have heard he is a bit fat, slow and ugly but we needed some experience and he is going to step in," said Holloway.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">"He is definitely not as fit as he used to be and we may need to check the insurance forms."</span></p><span style="font-weight: normal;"><p align="center"></p></span> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Holloway has registered as aplayer to help relieve some of the burden placed on his squad whenthere is a clash of games, as is the case tonight.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">One Argyle team faces a trip toSwindon Town in the Pontins Combinations League, while another sidewill take on Liskeard in the South Western League at the same time.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Holloway is expected to featurein the squad for the Liskeard game and he will be looking to impresshimself with a view to an appearance in Sunday's televised Championshipgame with Derby County at Home Park.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">The manager has already requested10 DVD copies of the game for his family to savour and Argylephotographer Dave Rowntree has been instructed to provide a record ofthe momentous occasion.</span></p> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Delving through the archives, itappears Holloway's last senior outing was seven years ago when hehelped inspire Bristol Rovers to a 2-2 League One draw with ManchesterCity.</span></p></div></div></div> </div></div> </div>
