    I'd rather play a side a little more local anyway. Rejected; makes it sound like we've approached them on some kind of dating site.

    If we want a premier league side I'd rather see a team that will bring more that 5 fans with them. No chance of getting one of the Manchester clubs but would be nice.

    If Rochdale don't have a friendly on the same saturday why not move our league cup match against them to that day? Huddersfield might be doing the same away at PNE. You end up with.....

    1) A week between last friendly and first league game, instead of having to play the league cup a few days before the league starts.

    2) A bigger crowd with it being a saturday at 3 pm.

    3) A more meaningful game as a cup match is better than a friendly.
