But the prediction was for the average over the course of the season, not this closest each week and get points thing! - it's a marathon not a sprint etc!

 

That's correct, but I'm not sure what you mean.</p>

The only &quot;winner&quot; is the one who is closestafter the last home game of the season.</p>

The table merely shows you who is in contention for the title at the moment, and as it says, they are thenearest &quot;contenders&quot;. Some people have asked for this information to be put up from time to time so that's what I am doing.</p>

You could say the same about the league table, or ANY league table for that matter, insomuch as it is only the position at the end of the season that matters. But it's still nice to see what progress is being made until then.</p>
