Reyt if we get turned over on Thursday and basically have a poor game. Who on here will still be proud to be a red???? And look at the whole season and think what a fantastic effort our lads have made? I will for one. Or who will be slating em?? I can understand some people's frustration if we lose and lose bad, which we would have to but at the end of the day, Walsall have had a good season beating teams with high scores, just like we did to them in first leg..... It could happen to any one in this league.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll be annoyed and frustrated at the time but once the dust had settled I'd be really proud of what the lads have achieved
The only time I have openly slagged off a Barnsley side was after the defeat by Norwich in 2002 when we were relegated. I let them have both barrels from the front of the East Stand lower.
I will be extremely annoyed on Thursday and may have a go at the tactics if we lose because we tried to sit on a lead but how can you slate a side that was bottom of the table half way through the season but then went on to reach the playoffs and won a trophy at Wembley despite the manager leaving just when things had turned for the better. This will go down as one of my best seasons as a reds supporter no matter what happens on Thursday
the one a couple of years ago was the third relegation. The one in 2002 was the second. I thought I'd made that clear.
Think that would be the same for a majority of fans. The last one before the relegation from the prem was in the early 70's.
Are you getting a tad nervous Sooty? I'd like to think we are professional enough to go there keep it tight and play the game out. TBH no one should be losing a 3 goal advantage but I know it can happen. ALA AC Milan. Be positive. We are going to Wembley.
I'll back them. I love this Barnsley team. Doesn't feel like we've got any mercenaries for the first time in a long time
i would still be proud to be a red iv only witnessed the last relegation that i cared about, back in 2002 i was only 10 so cant remember it that well
if we had only drawn or won by 1 goal at home, then i wouldnt be too downhearted if we were to blow it in the 2nd leg. but this is a 3 goal lead after all and i will be very disappointed if we dont go through now.
I'll be showing my gratitude to Hecky and the boys on Thursday after the game if we do **** it up, and that's the same if we get to Wembley and lose. The turnaround since the end of November has been extraordinary and the run we've been on is not worth slating the lads for not being able to succeed in that final push. One thing I am going to say though is that I expect us to come through on Thursday. I do expect us to lose but not by three goals and I do expect us to score. Deep down, I will be very disappointed for we don't make Wembley but that's not gonna hinder me showing my appreciation at the end of the game.
I'll be fuming at FT but upon reflection will recognise what a great season it's been and the effort put in by the lads and management alike.
