just got back and i think you guys deserve an honest match report from someone who hasnt got his head up g ordons arse lets make no bones about it-tonight we were absolutely woeful-after the optimism after saturdays win it has all gone flat again lets not kid ourselves we were unlucky we werent. first 15 minutes we were ok-not great and then hayes scored-it wasnt a good goal or great finish as some might say-he got a lucky rebound off the keeper and tapped it in-after that we fell apart we got tricked into playing the same game as scnuthorpe in effect bypassing midfield and aiming long for the strikers-ok if you have conlon on but not for nardi and hayes -i cannot remember nardi having more than 2 touches in first half. then as things are settling down again a ball over top sees carbon caught cold on his zimmer and is then forced to chase back but for some unexplained reason tries to slide- result pen 1-1-at this point his head drops for rest of half (anyone who was there will recall the attempted header where he closed his eyes and put his head down-looking like he was struggling witha n exceptionally large turd)-half time 1-1 second half started brighter shuker taking round keeper but then mishitting shot but then again a mistake at the back seess austin outfoxed and linford christie racing away from vaughan to beat colgan (it seemed like linford but against vaughan charlie williams running would look like linford) 2-1 after that barnsley pressed and pressed but couldnt find an equaliser ratings colgan-4 send in the clowns tonge-5 carbon-2 need i say more subbed at half time due to cant breathe kay-4 austin-5 looked ok except 4 goal wroe-4 y y y y y mcphail-8 mom burns-5 looked busy but what does he do shuker-6 hayes-7 nardiello- 2 was he playing didnt seem like it often offside subs conlon-8 why wasnt he on earlier jarman-6 only on for 3 vaughan-6 better than carbon but you cant win matches by playing a sack of potatoes at centre half to conclude before abuse starts if we are wanting promotion then these are the team s we need to be beating. i concur with worksop tyke as did a few more at game-it was a new season with new optimism but we were treated to the same old *****
